On Monday January 5th, the Barrington Public Library opened the Lenny Rumpler photography exhibit at the library. Mr. Rumpler’s works can be viewed on the first floor just past the Reference Desk, and in the Jennifer English Gallery on the second floor. This exhibit represents a collaboration between photographer Lenny Rumpler and the Barrington Land Conservation Trust. All of these photographs were taken here in Barrington on properties either owned or stewarded by the Land Trust. The Barrington Land Conservation Trust owns and protects over 285 acres of land and over 70 properties here in Barrington, including Johannis Wildlife Preserve, Sowams Woods, PIC -WIL Nature Preserve, and other smaller environmentally sensitive parcels.
Over the past year, Lenny has visited and photographed almost all of the Land Trust’s 70 properties. He has trudged through mud, waded through tall grass, and been caught in sudden rainstorms, all while carrying his equipment in pursuit of the best shot to showcase the landscape.
Lenny has donated his time, expertise, and materials to make this project a reality. The Trust is grateful to Lenny for his generosity of resources, time and spirit. This exhibit would not be possible without him. All the displayed works are for sale for for the following prices (including frame):
Proceeds from all sales will go to support the Barrington Land Conservation Trust. If you would like more information about purchasing one of these works, please contact Cindy Pierce at 401-699-4529 or cindypierce@earthlink.net. The exhibit will run through the end of January.
