Barrington High School Students Study Terrapins for Senior Year

Thanks to Barrington High School students Nicolette Griot and Michaela Hurley who have spent part of their summer assisting with Diamondback Terrapin tracking at the Doug Rayner Wildlife Refuge at Nockum Hill as part of their school senior projects. Good luck Nicolette and Michaela!

Another Successful Dragonfly Walk

BLCT vice president and dragonfly author, Ginger Brown, led another successful family exploration for 'dashers, skimmers, and dancers' at Echo Lake on July 14. Several of the 135 dragonfly species native to Rhode Island were observed.

Terrapin Tracking Wraps Up Until August

BLCT diamondback terrapin expert Charlotte Sornborger has been tracking the annual terrapin nesting at the Doug Rayner Wildlife Sanctuary at Nockum Hill from May through July for 23 years.
